Spot The Difference!

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down." - Matthew 24:1-2

Kodee never had to show his certificates. He had none. He preached the WORD and spoke of CHRIST. That was the only qualifications he need.

Remember Kodee.

That was the Kodee that you and I knew.

But there was one Sunday morning. Kodee was preaching in another town. Geok Seng was chairman. He made fun of the service-bulletin. Said that the Kodee was a prick who was very hung-up on titles and qualifications. Young Adults sat in the service and felt very uneasy that their pastor was openly insulted. Geok Seng's followers were sniggering like Muttleys.

Kodee was always very modest about his qualifications. Even when he was giving lectures in MBS on Church History. I always asked him the hard questions. He had the humility to admit, "I'm not sure about that one. Let me check it out." He never for once looked down on me when I wanted to study Greek/Hebrew and was making a fool of myself reading with a Hokkien accent. Haha!

Notice that the verse I quoted began with "Jesus left the temple and was walking away..." but his disciples were still very attached to the hallowness of that grand place. Alas, after 2000 years, those who claimed to be his followers still haven't progressed much. Hence, their admiration for the hallowed halls of Satanick Yale/Harvard.
